Just a pretty standard human doing standard human things. The world itself seems pretty lacking.

My fifth and (for now) final article about #climate change. A lot of work went into this series, but I learned a lot and hopefully some readers gained a lot from it too!

I relieve my stress over U.S. #politics by making really condescending political #memes, then having a laugh to myself and never sharing them.

I highly recommend it. It’s like writing an angry letter that you never send. Very therapeutic.

January 31 is International Zebra Day! 🦓 In honor of these beautiful #animals, I bring you: a #zebra photograph, a few zebra facts, and a zebra joke.

A Grévy's zebra with its foal, one of only three surviving zebra species. The Grévy's is the most endangered, with only about 2,300 in the wild.

Some thoughts on this last week in D.C, especially regarding #Trump and #climate change.

Donald Trump has been in office for only a few days, and of course he has made numerous headlines for his early actions. I will gladly admit that there are a few things he’s done that I think are pro...

It kills me how many people and websites think that fan-made #Timbers kit is the real thing. It takes like five seconds to understand that it’s made up.

And also, even if it were real, in my opinion it would be pretty underwhelming for their 50th season. #RCTID

Considering the growing acceptance and success of the Affordable Care Act, and all the terrible property #insurance problems from #wildfires right now…

Is it entirely crazy to wonder if the #government will have a public property insurance option someday? Seems like it could have been useful. 🤔

I love a good PB&J #sandwich. But getting one with your favorite peanut butter AND favorite preserves, AND on your favorite bread… 😘🤌 Bliss.

Not that I’m breaking any big news or anything, but it’s dominating MY mind right now.

January 5 is National Bird Day in the U.S! It’s a day for recognizing birds in our ecosystems, and raising awareness for endangered species out there. 🦢

And every fourth year we get a BONUS celebratory day!

I’ve been beating this drum for years, and it’s nice to see someone I respect also wants to make it happen! 🎊

If there is an afterlife, President Jimmy Carter is in the good part. And he’s looking down right now smiling, in part because his last act was to mandate that U.S. flags would be half-staff during Trump’s inauguration. 🇺🇸

Dawn of a new day, a new year
Unique, like so many others
With innumerable wishes
And endless opportunities
Until this day, too, is squandered

Nothing keeps you humble like your mom coming across your comments on political Facebook posts. Like, “Oh yeah, people I care about can see this crap too.” 😅

I’m not going to go as far as saying that 100 Grand is the best candy bar; that’s terribly subjective. But I’m confident that it’s the most underrated #candy of all time.

I never eat one unless it falls into my hand by magic, and every time I’m like, “Where have you been all my life?!”

I’m disappointed by Joe Biden’s pardon of his son, Hunter. It broke a promise he made repeatedly, and set a bad precedent right as we were mentally steeling ourselves for the next administration to abuse this same power. But I do have two thoughts that are helpful to keep in mind: 🧵

Biden should pardon Trump’s federal charges.

Biden should pardon Trump’s federal charges.

Biden should pardon Trump’s federal charges.

And he should not have pardoned Hunter.
