Mine too. I was an extremely bookish child and would lock myself in my room to read all weekend. I read both during the sixth grade, along with the Narnia and Time Quintet series.

I find it interesting that there are some people who don't realize that The Hobbit and LOTR were written for a younger audience. It was the publisher's 10-year-old son, the target audience, that reviewed it and suggested it be published.
