Then there’s the private healthcare. Private owned clinics. Yes, you pay for that but it’s so cheap compared to the US even without insurance. I needed X-rays of my shoulders, it was like $30 for a dvd and hard copies and you get to keep them. The X-ray tech talked English to me through google.

In Russia the healthcare is excellent. Need blood work? Nurse comes to the house and draws it. Need shots? Nurse comes and does it. Emergency care? A doctor and nurses show up that specializes in your symptoms. They can take X-rays, ultrasound, EKG all in your bedroom. Full physical? Sure. Free.

I’m an American living in Moscow for almost 7 years now. I absolutely love it here and don’t miss the US at all. I can tell you all you need to know. I couldn’t afford healthcare in the US. My heart medicine with ACA insurance($1000/month premium) was $450. In Russia it’s $40 without insurance.
