There are hundreds of articles debunking the science that demonstrates anthropogenic global warming. However, they don't reflect the research consensus. The research consensus overwhelmingly supports literacy instruction that aligns with my description. Either we follow the science or we don't.

Mississippi has long been engaged in literacy reform that is informed by this research and by implementation science. This has included focusing on direct, explicit, systematic instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

I can't speak to the design of this specific study. However, my decades long career in education has been focused on literacy instruction that is aligned to rigorous research, a research base now called the "science of reading."
