He turned, caught sight of her, and rolled his eyes, but she didn’t miss the little smile that made his dimples pop just a little. “I didn’t have any gummy worms,” she said once she got close enough, “but I made cookies.” “You trying to bribe me or something?” Jude grumbled, getting up to get a tool from the box nearby, while Caesar crept forward to sniff at her feet. “No,” she said, holding out her hand for the dog to sniff. Jude raised an eyebrow at her. “Okay, maybe a little. Is it working?” Jude walked back to where she now stood, scratching Caesar on the head at the dog’s insistence. “What kind of cookies?” “Oatmeal raisin. Did you just say pet-play?” Jack seemed to fold in half as the red of his face deepened even further. “Oye, tranquilo, amigo,” Danny said. “We don’t kink shame around here. We’re all a bunch of kinky fuckers too.”
