People in their underwear aren't even technically naked. Nothing there is threatening.

Even IF the numbers are accurate...

1. The stock market doesn't equal the economy.
2. Despite not fully being able to predict chaos/TACO, one can understand it enough to account for it in ways that allow for the appearance of growth.

In any event, nothing from this regime is trustworthy.

The common refrain of these types of "Christians" is that the person doesn't need meds, they need to pray more and follow Jesus more. So much ignorance and so much hate.

If it's the #1 show, then canceling it due to financial reasons is one of the most blatantly bogus reasons one can make, because a #1 show would be bringing in money, and they'll be losing money due to a cancelation... and that's BEFORE boycotts.

Paramount doesn't deserve to air the Star Trek brand with behavior such as this. Disgusting.

That doesn't mean we change strategies in full... we need to keep building what we have and what we are doing, but we need to keep adding more actions as well.
July 14, 2025 at 10:21 PM
We live in a nation that refuses to listen to its people because they are so drunk on power and the need to control. Our voices fall on deaf ears. The only way to counter is an opposition that provides a matching amount of opposing power. We are not there yet, so our message falls on deaf ears...

Which means they are both needed, one day events AND prolonged ones.
July 14, 2025 at 3:09 PM
I hope I'm wrong and it can get off the ground. But I feel it is probably a long way away from becoming a reality. I think the one day events may be a stepping stone to something more prolonged.
July 14, 2025 at 3:08 PM
Unfortunately, I don't really see a prolonged general strike ever occurring in an economy that basically forces people to work paycheck to paycheck just to survive. Such people struggle to commit to such prolonged action, and those who can commit are generally more privileged and don't see the need.
July 14, 2025 at 3:08 PM
All the general strike announcements I've seen have been a one day event as well, yet people still talk about it. That being said, I do agree that a prolonged event/strike is definitely necessary as opposed to one day events.
July 14, 2025 at 2:54 PM
Not a great argument... without enough people, a protest would accomplish nothing as well, yet we continue to protest.
July 14, 2025 at 2:33 PM
It seems that groups are waiting on a general strike until enough people register for one. Just schedule one already and commit to it. Let numbers build like the protests are doing.
July 14, 2025 at 1:19 PM
Since this is a weekday, during a traditional work day, this should really be advertised as a general strike as well. Double the messaging.

Good Trouble Protest AND General Strike.

Arrested/detained entering Canada... "leaving" the country... not coming in. That's one the scariest parts, showing their cruelty as it never being about them not being present here but that they want them eliminated altogether.
July 13, 2025 at 3:48 PM
I came to say this, too. They're trying to gerrymander more seats in preparation for next year to lessen the chance they'll lose. They are stealing the voices of the people with such acts.
July 11, 2025 at 2:01 AM
If Republicans caved on cutting medicaid, they will definitely cave here a lot more quickly. Disgusting and disgraceful examples of humanity.
July 11, 2025 at 1:04 AM
The polar opposite distinction between the two aside... following the Christian God, and even following a man, is one thing... each have their own problems, especially depending on how blindly one may follow such characters. But their glorification of guns will forever be ultimately grotesque.
July 9, 2025 at 1:32 AM
Distance is put between the "players" and their battlefield. The losses become numbers and statistics instead of human lives. We don't feel the loss of comrades, thus diminishing the pressure to find a conclusion and to seek peace.

Advancements in warfare only lead to a decrease in our humanity.
July 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM
Over the course of decades, countless stories have described the dangers of taking the human equation out of our wars and conflicts, where we no longer truly see the human cost of such bloodshed. Drones are the next step...

And this is why we can't trust ANY of the AI that they want to make use to make decisions in the government or in the new healthcare department under Kennedy... if they don't like an answer it provides, they'll manipulate the results until it provides what they want.

A tactic just like they're going to employ regarding this tax bill. A lot of things are set to be enacted after the 2026 elections (if they even occur in the first place), so that if they lose, they will shift the blame to the democrats to get support back in 2028 (again, IF elections still exist).
