nope! Go for it - when I taught flute, I had a few adult beginners who then organized themselves into a trio and performed at a piano-teacher friend's student piano recitals. Enjoy!

I first encountered Wilfred Owen's work as an undergraduate music student, when we performed Britten's War Requiem. Immediately went out and purchased a book of his poetry. Such powerful witness to the chaos, mess, horrors, and grief of war.
