Bimbling around London, UK.
Most likely to be found product managing software, lifting weights, eating cheese, or protecting the realm against Qunari invasion.
While I maintain an RP accent for work (so my non-British colleagues can understand me), the one place I regularly codeswitch back to my own dialect is on the train.
"'scuse us duck; I'll just move ' bag up on ' rack fo' ya."

Something disarming about the accent that makes claiming a seat easier.

This seems reasonable; if you subscribe to the belief that August 17th is late June, in the same way that 45 is late twenties.

Any recommendations for European owned ride hailing apps that operate in London?
Gah! I was using FreeNow as part of a plan to deliberately use less American stuff; and now it'sacquired by Lyft. 🤦‍♂️

Today I was musing on how late Pancake Day is this year, and how it's all down to a meeting 1700 years ago. And l now I want there to be a Bryan Adams song about the Council of Nicaea: "The Summer of 325".

🤔 When boarding a busy train; consider letting the tall person on first - they can see where the space is and which direction to push through the crowd who aren't moving down.

Apparently 1.5 litres a day is "a lot"... In that case, I guess, I drink "lots"? ... 🤔🙄🤷‍♂️

Jingle to an MVP, and then iterate from there based on emergent priorities?
Jingle ALL the way??? In this economy???

Is the implication here that the 'water' is pH 9, and therefore good to drink?! 🤯

Just spent the last hour talking about not overcommitting, building contingency, time to reflect, maintenance is important...
All these things are a given, professionally speaking; now to try to apply similar principles to general life!🤦‍♂️

Today we (🇬🇧) celebrate that we prevented someone from blowing up our political* institutions 419 years ago.

And we send well wishes to our friends in the USA (🇺🇸) in their own democratic experiment.

[* I did write 'democratic', but not quite sure we count the Stewart parliament as such 🤔]

In the event the pavement is blocked, and someone were to move the offending bicycle onto the road...
Would they be committing an offence for abandoning the bicycle on the double red lines? 🤔
Want to cross the road safely? Disabled? Pushing a pram? Tough luck. What an utter, selfish disgrace. Seeing this every day now in London.
