Well, we have a so called bundle mode that allows packaging GB games as quasi native Playdate games. You can find more info in our repo.

If you have an further questions I’m on the GB Studio and Playdate Discord (@stonerl) you can DM me there or join our dev channel.

Nope, no list. But you can just give it a try and report any broken games on GitHub.

Thank you for your kind words. We currently beta testing v1.1.0 which we hope to release later this month. It will have some new exciting features, performance improvements and better compatibility with more games.

I would second this. 😆

In 30FPS mode every game should now run at full speed. We were able to get compatibility improved and even squeeze a bit more performance out. Super Mario Land 2 now runs at a fixed 60 fps in 30FPS mode.

These improvements will be available with the next release.

We are not done yet. The next release will contain more performance improvements. Although not as dramatic as it was with the initial release.

That depends on whether we are going to implement full Game Boy Color support. Could happen eventually …

We basically draw our own sidebar. Have a look here: github.com/CrankBoyHQ/c...

TBH I had this idea floating in my head. Maybe if we find time this could happen. But no promises.

We do have support for Pokémon Blue/Red/Yellow. It allows you to use the crank to open the in-game menu and select different items.
