Smitten 2! I taught my mom how to play our cooperative microgame over the weekend. We lost the first few times but pulled out a victory in the final attempt to complete two panoramic grids. Have you enjoyed any recent microgames?

Next Tuesday (September 2) is a big reveal day: Wyrmspan Dragon Academy, Tokaido Duo, and a small surprise. For now, here's a glimpse at the Stonemaier version of Tokaido Duo, in which 1-2 players control 3 characters, each with their own goal they're racing to complete.

This weekend I revealed that we are making the oft-requested wooden hibernation tokens for Apiary! This optional accessory will be available starting in mid-July. The tokens are dual-coded (color plus unique shape printed in the center). What's the last gaming accessory you bought?

As a company that focuses on an indoor activity (tabletop games), it's fun to also meet people outside! Yesterday, coworkers Susannah, Dave, and I met one of our Icelandic ambassadors (Stefan) at a St. Louis farmers market. I also played disc golf at Geekway with a number of ambassadors and friends.

Yesterday, coworkers Susannah, Dave, and I met one of our Icelandic ambassadors (Stefan) at a St. Louis farmers market. I also played disc golf at Geekway with a number of ambassadors and friends.
Shown here is this weekend's playtest of the combined Tokaido expansion PPC (pre-production copy). I caught a few tiny things (and misprint), but overall it looked and played great. Even Walter approves it. We're hoping to have this ready later this year at the same time as Tokaido Duo!

I played 15 new-to-me games at Geekway to the West last weekend, including several that were off my radar: Rajas the Card Game, No Loose Ends, and Panda Royale. I really enjoyed all three! What game surprised you recently?
