You fired Matthew Dowd for just stating the truth and that was wrong. Dowd did not promote violence. Everyone knows that if you say hateful actions and take hateful actions that it attracts more hate. Dowd is one of the most astute political analysts. You need to bring him back.

You should not have been fired. What you said was true. I didn't take it as you saying he deserved to be murdered or that you were promoting violence. Hateful speech and deeds attract more hateful speech and deeds. I think you and Claire McCaskill are the most insightful political analysts.
