yeah and maybe some screen time limits. we did that and that's what being a parent is. equipping your kids for the real world and keeping an eye out for them at first but at some point you have to trust that you raised them well and let them go out into the world.

screen time limits are fine. just engage with your kids' interests and a lot of the problems go away real quick. there's a ton of middle ground between draconian instincts and laissez-faire attitudes.

seeing a lot of people right now with draconian instinct that want to take away the internet from kids when really, the answer is what you describe. talk to them and be involved. maybe encourage them to touch grass. but if you just take away the internet your kids will rebel and find these spaces.
