Went to a funeral today and for some reason the outfit I chose to wear gives either major Monty Python vibes or major evil English literature professor from a bad movie vibes.

Was given an opportunity to “touch grass” this morning. Ended up going on a 3 mile hike through a wonderful ecological border region. The world really is a magical place.

Sometimes stepping back and remembering that there is beauty all around us and often separated from the ugly that is contemporary society. I spent an hour enjoying this serene park with family today and was reminded of the world that we all share. An exercise definitely worth sharing. /|\

In late spring my daughter (2) and I planted a couple sunflower seeds. Today it was visited by an insect that until today I did not know existed. Hello bee fly, an insect that mimics a bee and loves nectar from sunflowers.

Why is learning a new skill so damn hard? I’ve always wanted to draw but the perfectionist in me has always stolen my joy around it. Started a 30 day challenge to try to beat myself into being an artist. Here is Day 2 with a horrible nose and chin, but looks okay. #art #drawing #newartist

We were caught doing a little foxtrot today. I don’t think I realized how in sync we actually look while dancing. This is surprisingly good compared to where I thought we actually were.

Baked some bread with my daughter today. I let her do all the mixing, I just handles the measuring shaping and baking. I think it turned out pretty good.
