There are so many things that get labeled as 'WWE style' that are just basic wrestling tropes. Outside interference, dominant babyfaces, ref bumps, countout/DQ finishes, all of that stuff was a regular part of wrestling before Vinnie Jr took over the World Wide Wrestling Federation.
It's crazy to think how hard WWE's monopoly has affected not only its fans but haters too and how they percieve a lot of concepts as WWE ones when it was the standard for wrestling in general back then.

I just think wrestling was better when crowds treated the top babyfaces like the Home Team and the heels were the team's hated rival who you wanted to see not just get beaten but humiliated. Eagles fans are not hoping the Cowboys get to look good in defeat.
