I have concerns with AI as it pertains to the copywritten materials of songwirters, composers, and authors, but the distinction between the news and the creative arts, in my view, pose risks that need close consideration.
The journalists at these corporations read from, learn from, and use information from each others' stories but want to stop other companies from doing the same, depriving them of the right to read and learn. US copyright did not cover news, BTW, until 1909. My testimony:
