My impression is that this is moving too fast for normal political responses. Leaders need to get off social media and into the streets. My fear is that the game is already up.

He sees himself as transactional and a competitive negotiator. His success rate, especially against government institutions, has been impressive. Since his strategy is a given, what’s our plan?

Trump is a competitive negotiator. He loves a conflict spiral. He’s totally consistent in that. And very competent. Competitive strategy only works efficiently when all or most of the power is in his hands. How will the opposition play?

If the press is ignoring news, either the institution has lost its function or is complicit. Will a Samuel Adams arise to fire a response to tyranny? Who will take on the burden of leadership?
