We are St Mungo’s.

We're here to end homelessness and rebuild lives.

For over 55 years, our teams have been on the ground, day and night, helping people off the streets and into safe, supportive housing.

We’re new here on Bluesky. 👋

Let’s introduce ourselves. (a thread ⬇️)
It’s getting colder and rough sleeping is still rising.

❄️ As the cold sets in, so do the risks: illness, violence, loneliness.

🧡 Our frontline teams are out there every night, helping people off the streets.

Right now, people in supported housing who want to work are being held back by a benefit system that hinders their ambitions.

That’s why we're working with with @centrepointuk.bsky.social and other sector partners to ask the Chancellor to commit to this before it’s too late.

🗣️ “I was ready to beg on the street for shelter for me and my dogs. I couldn’t live without them.”

After facing eviction, Dusana feared losing her beloved pets. Thanks to our frontline team, they found safety. She’s now rebuilding her life with her two furry friends. 🧡🐾

🕑 At 2am, the clocks go back.

🛏️ For most of us, it’s an extra hour in bed.

🏙️ But for people sleeping rough, it’s an extra hour exposed to the cold, dark and danger of the streets.

Every day and night, our frontline team meet people who urgently need our help. Your support helps us be there. 🧡
