Oh! I saw that book this morning via my Quiltfolk magazine subscription. They showed the Yellowstone and I loved it. Yours is going to be so beautiful too — I’m sold! Placing my order 😀

Is that a Quiltfolk book?

Missed opportunity for “love in a tangle” 😂

Yeah I like to think I'm going to find some real gems at the bottom of the scrap bin, but really it's just the "what was I thinking?!" fabrics. Still fun to see what you come up with!

Oh but I think you made this one interesting! Love seeing your fabric choices.

Amazing! Love them all but I vote for the “+” (3rd on my screen)

For me it was the 90s and so someone called me Chandler Bing. I had no idea I talked weird. Wicked embarrassing.

This makes me happy! Grew up in coastal New England. Talked like this. Moved to Chicago and everyone thought I was obnoxiously sarcastic. Lots of awkwardness until I broke habit.

Same. Maddening. What a waste.

Love this! I’m planning to make this pattern (full size) soon. Any tips or tricks to share? Should I buy their finishing kit when I buy the pattern?

My family did a SLC-SF Amtrak trip a few years ago! Give yourself a full day to explore Golden Gate Park end to end. All agreed was fave part of trip. And since it’s a stop on the way, take a day in Sacramento to tour Capitol bldg and grounds — lots of art. Enjoy!

I made a quilt like this in a diff colorway that gave effect of stars. I hated making it so much — I became a petulant teen! But yours is WONDERFUL and may inspire me to try this pattern again!

This is all great advice! Also I think there is a diff between muddiness of dye in washwater (solved by color catchers) and contact staining when a fabric sits directly on another when wet and xfers onto. Thats why I toss in another blanket I don’t care about — I think it helps the tumble. But ???

Nice! — love the layout you chose for that fabric! I always wash & dry on warm with lots of color catchers and another basic blanket to even the load. I don’t prewash bc hate to iron yardage. Only time stained was a cheap dark brown fabric and even then it wasn’t awful. I think you’ll be fine.

Nice! I’m convinced!

Ah! I’ve been thinking of doing this for 2025! Would LOVE to see pics of your other months — please post!

You taught me how to make my first quilt! 💕

I went from a Brother to a Janome 8900QCP 6+ yrs ago. The Brother was fine but the Janome is a dream. Fussy about bobbins (get Janome) but otherwise no drama. Routine tune-up once every 2 years. Otherwise I don’t even think about it and it does everything I want.
