Pegula definitely could not be trusted to lead the search, but I think Terrance Grey or Gaine could have been elevated to do it. The lack of heat that Pegula put on Beane for the roster (and defending of the roster) is also concerning.

It seems like he is a good intentioned person, but he is not someone I would trust to negotiate the purchase of a vaccum.

I'm a little more OK with them keeping Beane on to hire the coach. He seems a bit clueless about many things. Beane is still a snake though.

A bit surprised Pegula is actually taking part. Would expect he would just have a statement and not take many questions, but it's something at least.

I keep going back to little things like the Hard Knocks episode where Pegula is talking with Beane. From the small look-ins we get now and then, he really does seem clueless about what it going on with the team.

Gotta say, I do not love it. I don't completely disagree that change may have been somewhat needed, but man did he seem like a great person and a really good leader.

It worries me that he is going to be a big problem in the division for a long time. On the plus side, it should make for some great games too.
