I don't consider myself dumb but I thought he would force a "peace" agreement by withholding support which he tried but he didn't expect Europe to respond the way they did.

Unfortunately at best we are generations away from having a society like that in the US. I think we are too large and diverse to reach the happiness you describe. Sadly Trump tapped into that anger and some people are satisfied being angry.

Sadly Schumer is playing politics in a different era than what we're in now. I think he had a day and time where he did okay but my gosh this has overwhelmed and passed him up.
