I don’t do much custom work anymore, but a longtime customer had a request and it was just a variation on a bag I already make. I love how it turned out.

We have a winner.

It's time to find something else to look forward to.
In my video about this I made the case that knowing there’s a 3% chance an asteroid will hit us is amazing news because at any other point in history we would have no idea at all.

But it also sucks: modern life is too full of things to worry about that, previously, we just wouldn’t know existed.

After weeks at the top of the Sentry list at the Center for Near-Earth Object Studies, the asteroid 2024 YR4 is no longer considered a threat to Earth.

So remember when I joked about making a holder for an Aldi quarter? 🫡

Just heard from one of my leather suppliers, their warehouse has frozen pipes and no heat and they aren't shipping for at least two weeks. HAPPY 2025

I am putting together a bluesky list of DC/MD/VA makers, artists, and crafters. Who should be on it?

Today was my day off so I pulled my trail camera and went on a little yard adventure. A yardventure, if you will.

Today, I hosted a work session for handmade business owners who had taken my biz workshop. It was so great, community-full, and lovely. More of this in 2025, please (no, really, I need more of this so I don’t lose my shit)

Punching some holes today on my halfway-restored Rosback perforator. No power (or heat) needed, glad I didn't do this 2 days ago in 8° as planned! #antiquemachinery #letterpress

I just saw the fox cross my yard in the woods out back. It was either limping or having trouble on the ice, and now I want to pull my trail cam. However, I also don't want to pull it in 17° weather, and I have too much to do today. Next Wildlife Wednesday is going to be fun.
