"I'm an attack helicopter" jokes, which was terrible
I can't really explain everything myself because I'm not a neopronoun user (and english isn't my first language..)
I'm still learning myself
It just helped me to realize that I don't have to necessarily understand everything to respect them

That's already really good! Some people are just completely set in their ways, never wanting to hear another side
I had my own thoughts about the topic before I talked to more people with these identities, and it helped me understand them more
Especially since I was often subjected to those-

All we can do as a community is support each other, not try and seperate ourselves as "the valid trans people" And "the invalid trans people"
We already went through this with trans meds, and that messed up a lot of young trans peoples mental health

People on it
My partner uses neopronouns, and yeah I don't understand the feeling of wanting to use them myself, but it's what brings comfort and joy to my partner so who cares? It doesn't harm anyone

You see how that can make you come off as extremely transphobic yeah?
I don't fully understand neopronouns myself, but I don't need to understand to respect-

Just because it's not something you're not used to, because yes using they/them is still misgendering if you already know their preferred pronouns
If you don't know their pronouns, go ahead and use they/them
But if you've been told "hey this is what I feel comfortable by" You will be misgendering

Are autistic folk who feel their gender identity doesn't fit into the classic she/he/they or even it category
Who's anyone to say their identity is a joke? That their identity is less valid because their pronoun selection is different
I do hope you don't go out of your way to misgender these people-

We already look like jokes to the outside world though, what difference does it make? Why try and take the joy from trans folk?
You should probably read up on the topic before like
Invalidating a big chunk of the trans community
Especially because a lot of people who do use neopronouns and such-
