It wasn’t exactly fire code, or not directly. It was to stop people having to camp out for six hours afraid they wouldn’t get a seat. That way if you had a wristband and showed up anytime before doors you were guaranteed a spot. Then no wristband for overflow…

Yep. On one hand, maybe some of the crazy org charts I’ve seen at US cons is overkill, but it at least avoids the “gopher to Director” promotion and no clear duties outlined.

If there’s any consolation or hope it’s not a specific trigger everyone in my Japan trip group ended up with stomach fun of one sort or another for at least the first week of not longer. Something just hits different on the gut.
