We wouldn't have companies like Lego, Carlsberg Mærsk and Novo Nordisk if we had been a communist country. All companies that contribute massively to the Danish treasury through taxes.

- balance in Denmark. I have nothing against billionaires as long as they pay a fair share to society through taxes. remember which country I live in. we usually say “the broadest shoulders should bear the heaviest burdens” but that does not necessarily mean they cannot be rich.

I can only speak from my own experience and in this country the bureaucracy increases considerably when something is only state-run. I do not believe that healthcare or other care should be private, which it usually is not in this country either, but business is allowed. We have found a nice -

- it for a profit. The flexibility and urgency with which things are done is much greater when they can cooperate. I don't think there should be a ceiling on earnings, but a bottom.

I think we achieve the best results when the private sector and the state work together. It reduces bureaucracy. I work with green transition and that is a good example. The state provides subsidies for electric cars, but it is primarily the private sector that runs the charging parks. They do -

I am what we in Denmark would call left of center. I have great sympathy for many socialist ideas, equality for example. But I am not a socialist. I am probably more green than red 😉

I'm not sure I agree with the claim that it was bloodier. But for Denmark it was more socially transformative, and strongly contributed to the monarchy we have today, for example. The Russian monarchy failed miserably there. For Denmark it's about equality, and we're still figthing about that.

My claim is that the French Revolution was far more frightening to those in power and to the social changes than the Russian one. We have never really believed that the state should control production, which, as you know, is one of the definitions of socialism.
