The truth is I’m not even mad anymore, I’m just sad. People I once thought were decent not only support the cruelty, they revel in it. The anger was giving them too much of me. Now I just mourn the loss.

Cat tried to kill me and I fell down the stairs. Dislocated ring toe and broke the pinky toe socket on the same foot. So they buddy taped them. Turned down pain meds because it wasn’t so bad last night. Now my back and knee have weighed in, and I can feel my toes again. It is very unpleasant.

I think tonight I’ll paint my toenails with glow in the dark polish, shut down all the lights in the house and lurk outside my children’s rooms so when they come out all they can see in the dark is my toes. They’ll never sleep again.

I had resisted this because I was phasing out social media, but the people I scroll through when I’m bored are all coming here.
