I made a wall hanging from a bunch of granny squares I made last Summer. The original plan was a blanket, but it takes so many squares for that 😅 I think the pivot worked out in a fun way 😌

If you sew, and use a lot of indie sewing patterns, I recommend you get yourself a projector. After sewing for 6 years and finally getting a projector last year, I couldn’t believe I used paper patterns for that long 😩

Unpopular sewing opinion: I actually don’t mind hemming. Nor do I mind hemming someone’s jeans 🤷🏽‍♀️

Knitting a Cardigan 💖🤎🧡

I used to hate frogging my knitting because putting everything back on the needles is so annoying 😒 I recently learned about lifelines, and haven’t done it yet, BUT for some reason, I don’t mind frogging anymore or slowing down and taking my time. I am in no rush and I love it. Am I… healing?

Yesterday I went to my first ever sewing meetup and it was such a blast! Being around other people who have the same hobby as you is unparalleled! It's one thing to have an online community, but also having an offline community really feeds the soul. I went home with so much energy and happiness!

If you’re struggling to finish a project because of imposter syndrome or ADHD, just wait until the last minute/the day it’s due/supposed to be finished. Works wonders.

Why do YOU sew? I was talking about this topic with a friend the other day about motivation for our hobbies, and what keeps us sewing. Is it because you want garments that align with your style? You want to be challenged? You’re filling a gap in your wardrobe? It’s a creative outlet?

When I first learned how to knit, I absolutely hated it. The whole process felt awkward and clunky, now it’s something I look forward to every day!

When I first made this top, I was unhappy with its imperfections. Isn’t that how it usually goes? Over time I kept reaching for it, and I’ve easily worn this once a week since I made it, imperfections and all. I do have a re-design in mind that I’m excited about though!
