Something like the 5th time that Gilgamesh now recites this self-pitying stuff about Enkidu, his poor now-dead best friend. Though it truly is sad (truly), I‘m now hearing Tony Soprano in my head going „ok but you gotta get ovah it“.

The Epic of Gilgamesh. Amazing reading experience. This little passage somehow reminded me of a Dostoevsky passage I like: „I can see the sun, but even if I cannot see the sun, I know that it exists. And to know that the sun is there - that is living.“

First time across the pond, in Austin, TX. Was invited to a shooting range with a fellow before I even got off the plane from Amsterdam. What an experience so far.
