What a Year it has been!
Note: This blog post will discuss grief and burn-out. "Grief is the price we pay for love." — Queen Elizabeth II 💙 I have not written in this space for a full year. As I reflect today, there is so much swirling in my head. This prompted me to write in hopes it may give me focus, intention and perspective. Some of my hesitation to write was trying to write from a place of growth, not of pity and victimhood. A year ago, I did not know how grief was going to knock me down and how approaching four decades of working in the field of Early Childhood Education and Care would collide with this grief and my own sense of fatigue and burnout.
