Happy New Year to you and the family too…Doc

Good evening doc. We’re doing ok. We left the country for a trip to Costa Rica - that spanned the Christmas week and just returned an hour ago. It was cathartic, and something all of us needed to do together after the events of October.

We’re ok. running on fumes. Services were held Friday (Nov 8, 2024). She passed away Oct 23.
Youngest has just returned to school

Thank you Doctor. Yes - the metastasis to the brain beginning early September caused a sharp decline and ultimately was fatal

She was back in the hospital Oct 7 with a multitude of tests performed with everything coming back as negative.

Cognitive abilities have sunk and she has been propped up on steroids. However as of last Friday, she has transitioned to in-hospital hospice care

Until the meds start working and relieving pressure, I will be back on a more focused schedule for care giving.

This has been a hard few days for me and her.
