I have been impressed how nice and tolerant folks on Mastodon have been over the years. There is so much crap going on but folks have always been cordial and respectful. I appreciate each and every one of you. I wish that we could get back to the right timeline.

I'm watching a video about Proxmox on my phone.

The video was downloaded from YouTube using Pinchflat. I'm watching it in Jellyfin running on my NAS to which I have access with Wireguard.

I could just watch it on YouTube but why take the easy route :ggsun:

My #homeassistant Supervised installation is no longer supported and I will need to move to HAOS. Should I reinstall it now or wait until I move to my new house and start everything from scratch there 🤔

I may not be qualified, but my quote quota is quite high, even when I am quiescent, isn't that quaint?

Continuing on the previous toot, let me voice my belief:

NATO is good. We need NATO. NATO is right now the only guarantee that there are no Russian tanks on the streets of my town. Ukraine has to join NATO.

Suggesting to disarm Europe when we have a genocidal aggressive tyrant right at the border that is right now killing European citizens is... Not a good idea to say the least.

New blog post!

My very own instance in the Fediverse, powered by @gotosocial is now one year old! 🥳

On that occasion, I wrote a short retrospective blog post talking about how I started my server and how it evolved over that time […]

There’s this “vibe” fediverse users give off that they are somehow immune to, or above and removed from, all the problems of big social media platforms by virtue of being on the fediverse, and that’s arrogant nonsense.

I'm cleaning my kinda-sorta-desktop to prepare for turning it into a proxmox machine, and I realized I don't have that much stuff to move away from it, already all of the important things are on the NAS.

Which means my homelab is working :)

Also, I've done some reading on #proxmox, so I have some ideas, but I would like to ask people who actually use it:

Can you/ do you use Proxmox to run full desktop OSes?
