Finding the difference between two dates or timestamps is hard! I am not fully satisfied with any of the solutions I have already proposed (or read), but I think this time I may have a decent answer. Requirements I think most people who ask this question: want the difference between two datetime ( date or timestamp) values, expressed in years, months, days, hours, minutes and seconds;
