Sadly it has. Controlling the narrative and the visual has always been the pursuit of the morbidly rich and powerful. Unlike cultured aristocrats of the past the nabobs of today are ridiculous caudillos and awkward misanthropes and their propaganda is transparently tabloid and hopelessly tawdry.
