That's what happens when Brother Beaton is on VAR - saw a comment yesterday that they said it'd hit his body before his arm...patently a lie. We should be firing refs for this level of 'incompetence', blatant cheating.

I like Qobuz because it has a record store mindset, you find what you want to listen to, human curated playlists - no intrusive algorithm, album review/band history/sleeve notes often within the selection too. (and depending on subscription level, they do big discounts on digital purchases)

I'm of an age whereby I should be a vinyl aficionado but younger siblings then my own kids just made an inherently fragile medium one of angst, scratched records, and ruined styli - I moved to CD quickly!

No harm in that, I use alternative means to get it without paying Google (purely because I'm militant about being advertised to against wishes...) but if you have a halfway decent stereo then the quality that YTP plays back in isn't great and easily improved upon by the likes of Qobuz or Tidal 👍

I see the argument between owning your media and not, I own all of the albums that are important to me, but the sheer scale of new-to-me music a good streaming service (or Radio Paradise!) has introduced me to is staggering.
But music, like other media, has been commodified and is just data now.

TBH I mostly stream music now, I ripped all my CDs during Covid and any new ones I pick up I rip and add to the collection - I was never into vinyl and the cost of new release LPs now is eyewatering. I've got a moderately expensive HiFi and there's a fraction in it between a disk rip/Qobuz at most.

A streaming service is a fantastic adjunct for finding new music to then purchase, costs roughly the same price per month as one newly released CD.

But not Spotify, purely from a moral standpoint.

Qobuz here...and I pronounce it in French as intended - 'Ko-boose' - to *enhance my audiophile standing.

*to no one but myself cause no-one gives a shit. But it is the best sounding streaming service...

After he wheeled away to celebrate you could see him mouthing 'where's my mum?' when he got to touch-line, scanned the crowd, found her, kissed his fingers and pointed them at her!

Archie Gemmell's in Argentina '78 was a better individual goal, but this was hands down the most spectacular Scotland goal ever! Absolute worldie!

My all time favourite TH song (arguably my favourite all time love song!) Cracking cover musically, bit too shout lyrically and loses the softness, dynamism and eccentricity of the OG, but a solid 7.3 nonetheless (did say it was my favourite TH song! Glad they turned a younger audience on to it 👍🏻)

The "I was 73 on Monday...but I'm 94 today!" was absolutely hilarious 😂

Numerous decisions, chopped off goal, their pen, Cornelius should've gotten a second yellow towards the end for taking Osmand out, and quite a few others in between...MITB influence fully on show today.
