GenX and generally eXhausted yinzer born 'n' bred 'n'at. I kinda like beauty and community and food. I'm told I give off an Iroh vibe
I went to see the Rocky Horror stage show for the first time at a nice theater in Irwin, PA. And I found a cool and got to soak in a hot tub looking at pretty fall foliage.
Overall a nice Halloween spent out with friends.

2 more reasons I feel blessed to live where I do. I stopped to record sound-scapes on my walk to the city center. Maybe ¾ of a mile as the crow flies? & Here's the symphony birds, cicada, crickets. & yeah. air conditioners running everywhere. That's a lot of wild sounds in a city. I love it.

Even though this is sunrise, it looks like a molten ball slowly sinking into a lake. The sun can really look beautiful on my morning walks

Arepittas a great small restaurant in Pittsburgh. Everything here is delicious. It's Venezuelan food & you have my sympathy if you've never had pabellon or arepa. immigrants are so important to the USA & to Pittsburgh. It keeps the pulse fresh & the tongue dancing.

Exciting news! We’re thrilled to announce that tapir Yuna gave birth to a rare and endangered Malayan tapir calf Sunday night. The newborn, covered in distinctive white spots and stripes resembling a fuzzy walking watermelon, is only the second tapir born in our 120-year history.

Hey if anyone is considering backing up any datasets for some reason today, the Open Science Framework has free storage up to 5G/private repository, and up to 50G/public repository.

(The OSF is run by a 501c3 (Center for Open Science), so if you do this you might also consider making a donation.)

Tomato bisque and a bespoke grilled cheese sandwich. Comfort food for dinner, with a little drizzle of Sriracha for a bit of a kick.

I know... It's not Thanksgiving yet... But on my walk home, it was the first snow of the season and it was sticking to the plants and grass and I came upon this scene.
