Have finally made it over here from Twitter.
You might have known me as StevieSun or HodgePodgeHenry.
It's quiet work. Especially when the headlines about CofE are about excluding LGBT+ folk.

But I take the view that this wave of hatred has to be challenged in whatever way we can. And this is probably the most effective way that I can.

It isn't. And many churches in Devon are going to be vulnerable because their leadership isn't familiar with what is happening or the dog whistle indicators of intentions.
We're (rural churches) often not well equipped against this and progress to educate is So Slow. But some of us are working at it

A colleague of mine buys war medals and related items, and then compiles a history of the person and what the medal was given for etc.

We spanned technologies.
I definitely remember recording songs off the radio. And I have a mixed tape a friend made me in 2000.

I received my latest letter from Care for the Family. It included this beautiful image, and my favourite verse.

I remember hearing a few years ago that our brain processes information on a screen differently than on a page. Things like the definition of the text affected recall.
Our brains are so amazing.

We have a lot of Richards in my family. I had no idea it was ever anything but a masculine name. But I love it.

I've also noticed how important it is for Katnis' survival that she has a reason to live - her sister, and then Rue. It keeps her moving through some of her most difficult moments in the arena.

Anyway, I'd forgotten how much I enjoy these books, and I'm glad I've come back to them.

My neuro spicy partner insists on doing a full job for Christmas lunch. If he didn't, I'm not sure I'd bother.

Some of these people very carefully hide their habits. They know. We don't see, and therefore forget. Hence my brain jumping to where it first did.

If we're building a radically inclusive and loving community then there is work for all.

My views on "work" are another thread.

The landowning class in the Roman empire almost certainly didn't work as hard as everyone else.
They could choose not to work.

Were they the ones being called out?

What about the people who thought (think) giving orders is the same as work?

They certainly needed to called out when encountered.

That's a good question. I haven't finished my email to them yet, so I shall do some more research. Much appreciated.

This isn't the gate to access the footpath, but there is a footpath in this field. There's been no livestock in here whilst they've owned the land.

I'm hugely disappointed that what should have been a community asset is being closed off.
And yes I'll be writing to them too.

I was disappointed recently by United charities in Okehampton. They bought some land a few years ago, and claimed it was to protect that space for wildlife and the community. And now they've put signed up on gates about the fields not being public land & no right of way.
