Monstrilio floored me. Grief, love, and monstrosity stitched into something tender and strange. I finished it, sat with it, then started again. Had to. It’s the kind of story that shifts when you look twice, and I wasn’t ready to let it go.

Read it. Loved it. Proper eerie, sharp voices all the way through. Didn’t want it to end, but glad it didn’t let me off easy.

I played Dog Man Star like it was a séance.Brett summoned something in me queer & theatrical.That Woolworths CD aisle was my first altar.
Suede made it okay to be strange.To be soft and sharp at the same time.Masculinity didn’t have to be laddish or loud,it could be bruised,beautiful, and a bit camp
