I’ve had an African grey in the house for 14 yrs as my kids were growing up and a dog in the house,as long as you don’t mind the parrot mimicking the dogs barking etc then I believe it to be a good thing ,keeps him entertained and when you see parrots that are neglected it’s a poor show,so go for it
