I think she (and Chris Mason)see’s her role as entertainment, normal government/ politics and the journalism that goes with it doesn’t fit with ratings and entertainment, changes in leadership and the rise of reform is more dramatic and increases ratings. They’re awful.

Really expected the reduction to be greater, possibly advance bookings and discounted flights/accommodations impacting on numbers.

Winter drawers on.

He is nauseating, absolutely pathetic, it is all about providing entertainment not political insight, Kuenssberg is just the same, horrible.

You’re right, but it seems that the author is making the point that more tax should be taken from those with lower income when as you say, we need more data.

As the overall amount of income for the wealthy has increased greatly,if the proportion taken increases, it still means that the amount they have available is likely to be greater than before.
March 31, 2025 at 12:08 PM
It is, but as the wealth increases for the super rich, they have a higher proportion to spend on luxury goods/greater investment whilst at the lower end it is mostly spent on basic needs. So wealthy have a greater amount available IMO

Even if the facts are correct the conclusion is warped. The ‘squeezed’ top is paying more tax because their wealth has never been higher, further down are struggling because of high living costs.

Strange mixture of day to day normality and utter horror is messing me up.

Why do all of these far right loons always look really sad and unhappy with themselves. Same in the UK, these people have vast material wealth but they seem to have an inner deep sadness.

They need to still keep trying because the stakes are so high, you or I will not be asked to go and fight for our country but others will. It’s unlikely that it will change things and it can appear weak but need to give it a good go.

I feel the same way most of the time, but I still need to believe that they are in power for the right reasons. If the hope goes what is left?

I read a lot from clever people on here advising very strongly what our government must do about everything, if only they were clever enough to get into a position of power to do it. Never hear much understanding of what a difficult position Starmer/Government are in and support to get it right.

I’ll forget this is a parody and embarrass myself in a few weeks time by quoting it as fact. Getting harder to distinguish fact and fiction.

I think there should be a petition.

The love that many people have for their cars baffles me, life can be improved in so many ways with reduced car usage.

He was mocked for ruining Twitter and loosing billions. But he got exactly what he wanted, an election win. Now we are leaving X and saying this will stick it to him, but it is too late. When will we learn??
