Seems to make sense for other countries... Taiwan, China, Japan, EU even the US have figured it out... I guess if your country's has a short term view all the time it doesn't, but governments are supposed to be thinking 10, 20, 30 years ahead, then it makes perfect sense.

I'd walk away from this if I was #LFC they have enough talent upfront.

Is this not classed as Terrorism? After all, it is promoting the terrorising of groups of people.

If only we has been investing in UK manufacturing instead of destroying it.... there would be apprenticeships, job prospects, UK made products which add value & wealth to the country.. why aren't we promoting the manufacture of renewable energy products in the UK?
August 21, 2025 at 9:21 AM
Where do you think most of these people will spend their money... in the UK perhaps & on social care perhaps, because they will have too much money to get it paid for.... so they will, in effect, be propping up the UK economy spending local...

Is this correct @samanthadixonmp.bsky.social ? I thought the government were the Labour Party not the Conservatives🤦‍♂️

Can we have a list of the billionaires & millionaires who have left the UK because of tax reasons?. I'd like to know those who have too much money to spend but are unwilling to pay tax.

We could invest in local renewables manufacturing, solar, batteries, heat pumps, electric boilers, turbines (wind & water).. the demand for these is only likely to grow.
Low cost energy efficient housing too. Modular housing solutions may be exportable or at least the design could be.

If only there was a large market on our doorstep we could trade with freely, if someone put their mind to it.
April 9, 2025 at 10:05 AM
But the most obvious way to boost our economy is to trade freely with the huge market on our doorstep. Surely that is moving forward not backwards.

What people don't seem to understand is that it is very difficult to get PIP or the health part of UC. The % fraud is very low. Yet they don't seem to mind people playing the tax system.

Sometimes you have to hold your hands up & admit you messed up. Then move forward to correct the mess.

If only there was a bigger trading partner nearby, we could be part of, to help buffer the current global situations 🙄

Politics is a subject for everyone... we can all vote, that's the point. Even those pre-voting age need to be aware, because they will be able to vote soon.
March 28, 2025 at 4:57 PM
This is about as un-labour as you get... ignore the rich & tax the poor. @samanthadixonmp.bsky.social
March 26, 2025 at 4:32 PM
And when the NHS becomes inundated as a result of making poor people poorer....
Of course, they will be investing in research to help prevent/cure/manage before they remove the benefits....
And they will invest in all the support required to assist these people before they remove benefits...
