If you’re doing it for your own benefit then maybe openradar or blogging it is better than feedback assistant. Let other people at least see your assessment of the issue and find it in a Google search.

There are a few open source Mac-native clients but they seem to get developed for a while and then abandoned. I'm using open-webui, which you can run locally in Docker; it's got support for things like vision models and running code. github.com/open-webui/o...

I'll make an honest attempt at this. In games, at least, it could enable a lot of emergent gameplay based on characters adapting to their surroundings and the player's actions in ways the developers couldn't anticipate. Subtly guiding their actions, not having them spout text on demand. Sentiment.

I'd love to be working on this stuff.

Oh and I think we will have software tools designed for AI users, not human users. If an AI wants to refactor code, why make it do all the work itself? Give it an API into the IDE so it can drive those kinds of changes reliably and inexpensively.

Game engines, graphics tools, lots of potential.

"Test time compute" or inference time seems like low hanging fruit for innovation. I think that's been obvious for a while, but we're just getting started with actual advances based on this.

We don't keep all knowledge in our heads; we use tools to look things up. AI can do this as well; take the giant pile of training data and turn it into a database designed for AI reference. Not RAG but something closer to how the model would prefer.
