It was Steve, I even let out a little cheer when I found Holly and Wood Sage in flower. Still no Cow Parsley and have started checking Cleavers after your success.

Point duly awarded! Can I recommend that you invest in ‘Urban Plants’ by Trevor Dines - right up your street (pardon the pun) I reckon!

If you can remember the 80s then you weren’t really there - or was that the 60s? Greetings to Trev and shame on you Kev for passing up the chance to meet Yarrow - although, of course, it most probably grows within 50m of wherever you are atm!

Early delivery for tomorrow morning? Yes Andy, cannot complain really, but as you know, us birders are never satisfied!
November 5, 2025 at 5:40 PM
Could you please send some of them to Surrey Andy,we are feeding on scraps here…

When I started birding in the mid70s here in London/Surrey they were a back garden bird, seen in all parks, expected on every day trip list. Now? I haven’t seen one locally for over ten years…

I know that it is all real Kev, but I cannot help but feel that your world, via these posts, emanate from a parallel universe.
