if I want to find out what is going on in Iran or the middle east or Ukraine from people there, I go to twitter, not bluesky....bluesky just seems to be people on the left in US/UK arguing amongst themselves.
January 13, 2026 at 8:02 AM
maybe. But twitter still has a global reach that bluesky doesn't.

Amazing. Quite liked him too. He literally came to the UK as a refugee.
January 12, 2026 at 11:33 AM
Same reason Polanski, Corbyn and Sultana are...reach.

more likely they are just don't know.
January 9, 2026 at 5:22 PM
and actually they had this too...
January 9, 2026 at 3:32 PM
Fair.
Was going off this one
January 9, 2026 at 3:31 PM
and actually, they have been polling even worse since.
I think trying to get a winning coalition with fptp with all these parties is now impossible, it's all about just trying to get to 30%.
We need PR.
January 9, 2026 at 2:43 PM
yeah, agree with that...I don't particularly mind him, but seems like everybody else despises him.
But, who replaces him? Think it has to be Burnham, but not sure he'll be an MP anytime soon, if ever.
January 9, 2026 at 2:38 PM
I think strategy is broadly changing, and they are tying to go after voters who are leaving on the left...taxes and spending on welfare, talking about closer ties with EU etc
January 9, 2026 at 2:31 PM
well, current polls have Reform and Tories with over 50%...so...
January 9, 2026 at 2:30 PM
Isn't he in the Burnham mainstream thing?
January 9, 2026 at 2:10 PM
you need to post it on X for them to see it.
January 8, 2026 at 5:13 PM
unless you're a tesla driver who agrees with him
January 8, 2026 at 4:28 PM
sounds like China, or Russia, or lots of places...
With fascism I think defining points are nationalism, militarism, violence, and some snazzy uniforms.
January 8, 2026 at 12:49 PM
think fascism word is thrown around too much so that it kind of loses it's meaning, same with communism, socialism, centrism and neoliberalism...but no Trump is not literally a fascist otherwise he'd call himself a fascist...but there are definitely some parallels.
