A real rollercoaster

Book #4 of 2025: Shark Island(!) by Chris Jameson. Sometimes a book catches your eye and it must be read immediately. An island of sharks? Even though sharks cannot be on land? I need to know more.

Ultimately not trashy enough for me.

Book #3 of 2025: The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead. Winning a Pulitzer is usually a decent indicator of a book’s quality but some are better than others! And this one is fantastic. And also heartbreaking.

Weirdly, I’m like an hour away from finishing this cross stitch on what happens to be the anniversary
January 10, 2025 at 4:16 AM
Book #1 of 2025: Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay. This is my second book by Tremblay and now I know I need to read every word he’s ever written.

Book 49 of 2024: Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. This was pretty hyped up, but lived up to it…definitely a fav this year
December 10, 2024 at 7:19 PM
Dick. It really was Kirsten Dunst’s year!
December 10, 2024 at 3:49 AM
Book 48 of 2024: Vladimir by Julia May Jones. They say don’t judge a book by its cover, but I say fuck that. I took one look at this and knew this would be an excellent book (and it was)

My goal of reading 104 books this year was lofty at best and is now dead. Back to my OG goal of 52. I’ve read 47 so far and a shocking number have been duds. But these 4 were all great

Book 18 of 2024. If you like a thriller/mystery, Jane Harper has some good ones! Well-written and the twists aren’t stupid
March 5, 2024 at 1:58 AM
Book 17 of 2024. Here ends my vacation and my ability to read a ton every day
February 26, 2024 at 4:35 AM
Eep, I miscounted. THIS is book 16 of 2024. Tom Perrotta is one of my favourite authors and even with high expectations I still loved this. I can’t tell if the ending is too bonkers or too realistic though

Book 16 of 2024. I love me a thriller, but so many ultimately disappoint. This one didn’t though!
February 23, 2024 at 9:05 PM
Book 14 of 2024. I am on fire! A reading machine! Now I just have to spend the entire rest of the year reading one book every 3.47 days and I will meet my goal 🙃
February 23, 2024 at 1:37 AM
Books 12 and 13 of 2024. I’ve decided to try to read 104 instead of 52 this year so need a few quick reads to get caught up.

Remember blogs? I loved Hyperbole and a Half so bad. I miss the blog heyday.

Rereading Election so I can get to the sequel
February 22, 2024 at 1:25 AM
Book 11 of 2024. This is the third Cormac McCarthy book I’ve ever read and he’s 3 for 3 so far. May just have to read all of them
February 20, 2024 at 6:01 PM
Books 7, 8, 9, and 10 of 2024. Vacation mode has put me behind in my posting but ahead in my reading
February 20, 2024 at 3:14 AM
Book 6 of 2024. Not for me. Huge meh.

Please welcome the newest member of my family, who I am obsessed with
February 4, 2024 at 11:40 PM
Book 5 of 2024. In a future where the dead can be cloned and brought back to life, a woman examines her own death. Good, but didn’t go far enough in any of the directions it toyed with for my taste
