My pleasure today with SHOF to help unveil a blue plaque at John Tompkins new Three Arches events space on Walker Street, the Wicker Sheffield.
The plaque is to mark the very first inter city football match anywhere in the world. If you’re in the area, get down to the Three Arches and have a look.

Wilson claims passing in modern football started in Scotland in 1872. New knowledge tell us this is wrong. Passing started in Sheffield at least as early as 1865.
