WHAT ARE YOU READING WEDNESDAY!
Reading, especially fiction, can make you a more empathetic human being! So turn off the news for half an hour and grab a book!
I just started The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty for spooky season. Not sold so far, but it's early.

What are YOU reading?

Just finished The Well of Ascension. Solid five outta five stars. My one minor complaint is that I thought one of the main characters really got the short shrift. Barely around all book long, and then ... #booksky

I know the country is on fire, but in better news David Byrne dropped a new album and it slaps. 10 outta 10. #musicthreads

Let's have a What Are You Reading Wednesday! August was a wash, and then I bailed out on a book, so I'm trying to get back on track. I decided to go with The Well of Ascension, the second book in the original Mistborn trilogy.

What are YOU reading?? #booksky

I spent all year looking forward to the anthology The End Of The World As We Know It, but I didn't even make it 30% of the way through before declaring it DNF. Repetitive and ugly are the best words to describe my feelings. #booksky

**BIG SEQUEL UPDATE COMING NEXT WEEK**
If you haven't read Blood Bruvs yet, pick up a copy or download it to your Kindle or Kindle app! Read it now or save it for October. It's the perfect fun monster romp for spooky season! #booksky

Just finished this one and really enjoyed it. I thought the character work was better than the mystery. Hope the Netflix movie does it justice! #booksky

My year of reading fantasy continued with The Lies of Locke Lamora, which I finished last night. I'm going to brace myself for the backlash and be honest. I'm pretty sure I liked it better than Mistborn. #BookSky

WHAT ARE YOU READING WEDNESDAY!

I'm a hundred or so pages into The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch, which was pitched to me as "what if Ocean's 11 but fantasy?" So far, so good. My reading pace has slowed a little as I try and get the latest draft of my WIP tightened up!

If you need to scratch that Murderbot itch, check out Of Monsters and Mainframes by Barbara Truelove. It’s Creature Commandos in space with a generous dollop of Douglas Adams. A great, quick summer read! #BookSky

Once again, it's What Are You Reading Wednesday! I'm a hundred or so pages into Of Monsters and Mainframes by Barbara Truelove. The main character is a spaceship AI, and so far, it is giving off serious Murderbot vibes.

How bout you? #Booksky

I missed the last two weeks due to LIFE EVENTS, but I'm back to pester you with What Are You Reading Wednesday! I am about 85% through Hyperion by Dan Simmons, and it's not only an early candidate for my read of the year, it might end up on my top five all time if it sticks the landing. #Booksky

I'm in my fantasy book era this year, but eclectic detective fiction is still my comfort food. I just finished "Marble Hall Murders" by Anthony Horowitz. My four outta five star review is up at the blog no one reads! #Booksky

It's 'What Are You Reading Wednesday.' Last night, I started reading "Marble Hall Murders" by Anthony Horowitz. It's a book within a book mystery, so you're getting double for your money! The first two books in the series have been adapted into miniseries, which you can watch on PBS. #Booksky

I finished the first draft of my sequel novel. I felt like it was missing something, so this week, I reread the first book for the first time since I published it. I was surprised at how pleased I was with it.

Of course, it made me hate the sequel's first draft even more!

It's What Are You Reading Wednesday!

I'm reading my first nonfiction book since 2023. It's Dan McClellan's new release, The Bible Says So: What We Get Right (and Wrong) About Scripture's Most Controversial Issues. May looks like a massive month of new releases for me! #Booksky
