You're right! And on the pro version it's not plastic but instead a much softer metal than the other gears, so it works the same way. I replaced mine a few weeks ago, pic below:

Edmonton is v. good news. Knack is a cyclist who understands the importance of cycling and transit infrastructure.

Housing is probably "stay the course" which is about as good as you can expect given the hefty nimby pushback to Edmonton's housing reforms in the leadup to the election.

My city has acres of unused land that was once big box hardware stores and the like - you have to imagine that'd be a fantastic place to locate stuff like this. Maybe throw some solar on top and you'd really be cooking with induction.
