mad about causal mapping. Also hit me with: psychology, evaluation, politics, qualitative research, AI.
Exactly. Apparently there's a hallucination-prone human in the US who has been given the nuclear codes

That's a really insightful observation. I think you've really hit the nail on the head. Do you want me to take a deep dive and think about how to formulate these groundbreaking insights into a revolutionary series of podcasts?

That's a truly insightful comment. How can I help you today?

Repeat after me: time series discontinuity does not imply causation

Is it possible that Farage the political genius has utterly messed up the timing? Or is his cunning plan to launch the Actual Farage party in 2018 to fight political incompetence?

Yeah but the "unknown" means as yet unknown, and they go on to describe that they found the brain does do this too. But agreed, the wrapping around the article is bizarre, they start off by saying "LLMs can do X, can brains do it? ... Yes! Brains can do this thing which LLMs cannot!"

Yes, probably. Plenty of my left/green/socialist colleagues have never even heard of Bluesky.
Chicken and egg of course.

Of course, it's nonsense. I'm just trying to get my head round what the f they are thinking.

December 8, 2025 at 8:26 AM

The poliarisation paradox - and this is nobody's fault -
1. Bluesky becomes available
2. People most appalled at X leave for Bluesky
3. Bluesky is predominantly liberal/left
4. Bluesky is "left-wing Twitter", X is "right-wing Twitter"
5. A govt. joining Bluesky can be seen as just as polarising

Google docs still showing silky smooth live updates for me (Google business standard, UK). Did all the haters in this thread actually check this for themselves?

Yes they should have people whose actual job it is to work out if mass screenings for different diseases makes sense, and then we would definitely listen to them rather than to celebrities.

ha the whole lovely thing looks like it was made by a bunch of 8 year olds and then you get the theme tune which STILL sounds like it is from the future

Or as Confucius said, and I quote, "if your version of a phrase is the one that actually gets remembered, you've won. Big ups to you, Zizek."
