The bug windshield thing is almost certainly down to a decline of insects but also because of more aerodynamic car shapes. Climate change is complicated which is why bad actors find it easy to muddy the waters and deny it's a thing.

The worst bit is when you can hear the onboard PA systems from land. They pollute the air, the sea, the view and your ears.

I would understand if you hate flying and the cruise went from a UK port to the med but most of them you have to fly first!

I asked SWR in a feedback response if they had any evidence these announcements actually work. They didn't get back to me so presumably not and they are only designed to piss me off.

The cycle to work scheme isn't really a good way to help people to cycle to work though, it's a way to support the UK bike industry and give a perk to mainly higher earning white collar workers. Whether that's a good reason for getting rid of it is another matter.

I use an electric cargo bike for shopping at the supermarket and it's quicker than driving because you can always find a bike parking space near the entrance and don't have to queue to get in and out of the car park.

I'd like to think that the £130 I spend on fancy climbing shoes every six months puts them in another category but that's probably delusional.

Part of the problem is a supplement culture amongst men that just didn't exist until recently. I do a lot of climbing and the young guys are obsessed with creatine and supplements which they obviously don't need but it's just a thing you talk about.

I've also heard people claim that autobahns without speed limits are safer which is wishful thinking by libertarian petrolheads and definitely not true.
