Yes. Biggest concession was probably barring layoffs of federal employees.

The only thing surprising about how this ended is how long it took. The moderates have been trying to cut a deal since the beginning.

Yes. Would be a new law. Don’t see how this is feasible to role out in a few weeks. ACA too four years and was really glitchy the first year

Scott said he would restore the 400% of poverty for getting any subsidy at all in the individual market. (There is no such income cap for employer-based tax break.)

Says all plans would have to cover pre-existing conditions. But if states set the rules, some might choose not to require coverage for thinks like pregnancy, or prescription drugs some people need to survive, and so on…(as it was pre-ACA)

Ds say they will get a vote on their own bill. But without Hyde language it seems unlikely to become law.
May be a workaround, because abortion coverage actually saves insurers money.

For a lot of senators they have people yelling in one ear about airline delays and food stamps and a bunch of other cascading problems and in the other about health care. Ds who flipped say it’s clear Rs were never going to give them what they wanted.
