I didn’t expect my memoir to win, so being a finalist (the top 10%) is a triumph for me. The Eric Hoffer Book Awards are among the most prestigious for small presses and indie authors.

1st Place, LGBTQ+ Nonfiction 3rd Place, Memoir - Transformational Please don't think I'm being a braggart. It took a lot of these awards to overcome my imposter syndrome.

Memoir of a Mangled Mind won another award. They give the award to the top 10% of the entries, and there were 70 books entered. It's humbling that people actually like the book.

I designed and used my new marketing tool, a poster, at the Amelia Island Book Festival yesterday. It really helped stimulate sales!
